Step-by-Step Guide: How to Perform Barbell Push Press

  1. Set Up: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell at shoulder height with an overhand grip.
  2. Slight Dip: Lower your body slightly by bending your knees, preparing to use your legs to help drive the barbell up.
  3. Press Up: Explosively press the barbell overhead while simultaneously straightening your legs.
  4. Lower and Repeat: Lower the barbell back to shoulder height in a controlled manner and repeat.
