How to Machine Flys

Machine Flys are an excellent isolation exercise for the chest, using a machine to provide consistent resistance throughout the movement. This exercise enhances chest definition and muscle growth.

Muscles Worked

  • Pectorals (chest)
  • Deltoids (shoulders)
  • Triceps (back of the arms)

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Perform Machine Flys

  1. Set Up: Adjust the seat and handles of the machine so that they are aligned with your chest. Select the appropriate weight.
  2. Pull Together: With your arms slightly bent, bring the handles together in front of your chest, squeezing your chest muscles.
  3. Return Slowly: Slowly return the handles to the starting position, keeping tension in your chest muscles throughout the movement.
  4. Repeat: Perform the desired number of repetitions, focusing on controlled motion and proper form.
